Project summary:

 

The NIS2 Directive, adopted in December 2022, aims to ensure a high common level of
cybersecurity across the EU. However, its implementation - together with related frameworks
such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the Cybersecurity Act (CSA) - remains
challenging. Key obstacles include fragmentation across Member States, limited expertise
and resources within national cybersecurity authorities, and the financial and operational
burden on SMEs striving to meet compliance requirements.

 

DETANGLE addresses these challenges by delivering a cost-effective, integrated solution
that supports multiple stakeholder groups. The project brings together an Integrated Incident
Management Platform, a NIS2 Compliance Tracker, a Cybersecurity Collaboration Hub, a
Cybersecurity Certification Support Framework, and a CRA Supervision and Enforcement
Toolkit. Building on existing mature solutions and supported by targeted training,
documentation, and awareness-raising activities, DETANGLE aims to facilitate practical
implementation, adoption, and long-term exploitation of EU cybersecurity legislation,
contributing to a more resilient European cybersecurity ecosystem.

Its mission is to untangle the web of EU cybersecurity regulations - like the NIS2 Directive
and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) - and help organizations work together securely across
Europe.
